Saturday Lunch Day

Saturday Lunch Day

Despite the cold, wind, rain, and everything else in between, Glen and I decided to head out into London for some much needed fresh air and good Asian food.  We always make a quick pit-stop at the local Dial Arch for coffee first.  It’s really useful having the Dial Arch on our doorstep because it’s a gorgeous rustic pub, with the nicest little areas you can hang out in and not move all day if that’s your thing.  Plus, any pub with a fireplace gets a big tick from me.

Next stop (when the torrential rain decided to chill out) was Bone Daddies in East London.  Love this place.  It’s a ramen bar described as Japanese soul food.  Everything that I have tasted on the menu – and I’ve tasted alot – is delicious.  And you have to try the spicy wings, so good! The dish I’ve probably had more than I’d like to admit is the T22 (soy ramen, chicken, cock scratchings, onion, with chicken bone broth).  It’s as yummy as it sounds and tastes even better when you add a healthy dollop of chilli oil.  Yup, I’m abit of a spice freak.  Everything with more chilli please.

And then you guessed it, coffee to finish!  When we’re on this side of town,  we always like to go to Ozone Coffee Roasters.  They make the best oat milk lattes.  Get there early though to avoid disappointment (and standing outside in the freezing cold), there is always a queue.  Best coffee in town, I’m not kidding.  Oh and there’s also a decent lunch menu, I’ve tried alot of that too. 😀
